“The free information and free advertising ALONE is worth the visit. But if you're really serious about promoting your product or service, become a Paid Member. Speaking as a two-month-old rookie in the field of web promotion, I can say that I certainly got lucky by stumbling upon One Stop Internet Business Services early in the game. I still have a long way to go, but OneStop has proven to be a great place to start!“

"I just want to recommend Cathy Wagner in the highest terms possible. She has helped me with several techno-glitches I've had and "issues" to my getting the word out about some of the things I'm doing. Cathy is sharp, on the ball, fast, speaks English rather than "Techno-geek" and is a dream to work with. I recommend her highly for pretty much anything she does.

Plus she doesn't charge an arm and a leg for what she does."

All the best,

"I spent a very profitable hour last Saturday, chatting with Cathy about why my Web site just doesn't "click" and what I can do about it. Cathy helped me realize that a partial makeover would help the site focus on items that would attract more attention and sell better.

I'm already starting to test out my new marketing strategy on the Ryze network. In the next week or so, I plan to launch the revised version of my Web site, confident that Cathy has me on the right track now. Thanks, Cathy, for helping me see what needs to be done. The few hours spent working on my site should pay off quickly -- and profitably!"

Hello,

Welcome Members!

Tip of The Week
I was honored again last week as fellow WAHM Network members at Ryze.com request that I put one of my posts into article form. It is very short, so I included it here for you convenience.

[This was originally a response to a group topic about SPAM days on the network when every member is allowed to place an ad. The moderator wanted to know if we really read each others' ads and why. She also wanted to know if we do busienss together as a result of those ads. Every point made below was really illustrated by the responses of various members throughout the day.]

Advertising Basics for Beginners
By Cathy Wagner

So many of us who have decided to do business online have no background in marketing or advertising. It can be so frustrating without any kind of guide.

Here is a list of some textbook rules regarding marketing and advertising in general. These are important points that we should all keep in mind whenever we write an ad:

1. People don't like ads until they see something they want or need.

2. Headlines should always illustrate the best, specific benefits of one's offer. Cryptic headlines might be fun, but they simply can't compare (in terms of results) to an honest headline that spells out your offer.

3. Every ad you place is an opportunity to rate your copy. A mediocre ad won't get many responses, but a great ad can clicks almost anywhere. Don't waste your time placing ineffective ads, always check your results.

4. Networking with others is a good way to make sales, but nothing beats good ad copy.

5. Networking is not about making lots of instant sales. It's about getting to know people and letting them know what you have to offer. When they have a need for your product, they will look you up.

Writing effective ad copy takes practice. Don't get discouraged if your first attempts don't yield a lot of results. Continue to work with it and test it until you find that words that speak to your perfect customers and make them click.

Out of the Office
Father's Day around here means rafting down the San Juan river and camping over night. So, I will not be around next weekend, June 19 and 20th. Rest assured, I will reply to all inquiries when I return on Monday June 21.
