The Birth of an Internet Business
IT'S TWINS! One online and one offline. :)
I am finally ready to promote my new business! The process, so far, has involved finding a product and creating a web site. There were delays due to product manufacture and distibution, but these types of delays are normal at the start of any new business, let alone the start of a new product from scratch. Now that these problems have been rectified, I am finally ready to start the fun part, marketing!!!

I have had feedback from friends, associates and ONE STOP Members, so I feel pretty confident about the web site. I think I have included all the important information and that there is no reason why someone who is interested in this type of product would not at least order a sample, which will lead them to buying; early sales stats indicate that 80% of those who try it will buy.

I would love to go crazy with this, but the truth is I have no idea what kind of response I can expect. Because I am shipping product personally, hundreds of orders all at once would create a back log from the start. Customers would grow impatient and have a negative view toward the product before they even receive it if they have to wait too long for it to arrive.

So, my plan is to start promoting it offline. This week I went to every spa, hair salon, and tanning salon in my small town and gave free samples to the owners. I also gave samples to herbal store owners and the owner of a ladies gym. Next week I will distribute samples to doctors in town who have patients with eczema and psoriasis (there is currently not treatment for these conditions).

I am targeting businesses because I don't really want to host parties or have a route like an Avon Lady. While these would be profitable avenues, my children do not allow me the time to pursue them. I plan to do most of my promotion online.

By taking the time to focus on businesses with highly targeted customers first, I will be setting up a steady cash flow that will allow me to expand my inventory and my advertising. Because I live in a small town, I have just about finished the leg work and anyone who is interested at this point will call me.

Web Site Review
The very first thing I will do with the Raiza Creme site online is submit it for review to my favorite business discussion group/newsletter. It is a very large, active group and web site reviews are included in every issue. I will ask them the same questions that I asked ONE STOP Members, because I really value feedback, but I am also expecting to get at least some response from the site's placement in the newsletter. I have had ONE STOP reviewed there before and was amazed at the response, not just visits, but sign ups, too!

I know of some other spots where I can get the site reviewed and I intend to use them. I will also keep a close eye on my statistics and orders to gauge response.

I will hold off on other forms of mass online promotion until I have the reviews; the first is due out Monday 7/28. It is a waste of time to promote a site on a massive scale if it is not doing it's job. I will, however, experiment with ad copy in the interim.
