Welcome Members! Tip
of the Week Lately, I have been getting viruses (seemingly) from people I know. I noticed this when I got a message with an attachment from my sister's Yahoo email address. I know she never uses it, so I deleted it. Sure enough, she had sent no message and the attachment was most likely a virus. If you are not using good automatic virus protection software, you are running a major risk of losing your hard drive and all the data on it. If you have never been through this before, believe me, you don't want to go there. Even after you restore your most important data, you will be reminded of all you lost time and time again. Norton and McAfee are the most trusted names in virus protection. Set to auto-protect, they will not let you open a message that contains a virus. But, because viruses mutate faster than software can keep up, I strongly advise that you do not open ANY message that contains an attachment unless you have been notified by a trusted contact that they would be sending it to you beforehand. Paid Members who are surfing without protection should scan their computer regularly using the free online virus scan on the PC Tools page within your members' area and decline all email attachments. If you are using Outlook Express, you can set it so that it does not download attachments and that really is best if you have no automatic protection. To do this, click on the Tools menu at the top of your Outlook window and select Options. Under Options, select security and check the box next to where it says "Do not allow attachments to be opened or saved that could potentially be a virus." Be advised that you will no longer be able to open any attachments until you change this setting.

Testimonial "I spent a very profitable hour last Saturday, chatting with Cathy about why my Web site just doesn't "click" and what I can do about it. Cathy helped me realize that a partial makeover would help the site focus on items that would attract more attention and sell better. I'm already starting to test out my new marketing strategy on the Ryze network. In the next week or so, I plan to launch the revised version of my Web site, confident that Cathy has me on the right track now. Thanks, Cathy, for helping me see what needs to be done. The few hours spent working on my site should pay off quickly -- and profitably!" Susan
